Hi Guys , I've not been on here for a while , anyway ,after much burning of the midnight oil and not a little money along the way I've managed to get the bike finished at last . I've managed to fit the 5lb bottle onto the side of the bike without too much trouble also modded my fuel tank so I can get lower on the bike and fitted a LSR front mudguard which I picked up from Tiger Racing as well as adding some more electronic engine protection in the form of a Shnitz window switch . I'm entered at the next Straightliners meeting at Elvington on 20th June to get some much needed saddle time in and just check that nothings going to fall off the bike  and if all goes well there and now that I've joined the UKLSRA I'll be attending all of the remaining top speed meetings in 2010 . I've made some modifications to the intake system as well as some other minor mods so I'm hoping these along with the aerodynamic improvments I've made to the bike will ( weather permitting of course ) see me improve on the standing mile figures we acheived last season . The NSA are doing one or maybe two more meetings at York Raceway this year so I may do those as well just for the crack ( yes I know It's not spelt like that ;) ) .Anyway LET THE MADNESS BEGIN :bounce:

Hi Tezz , Well , I must admit when I first fitted the "big" bottle to the bike my mate Mark and me looked at each other and just burst out laughing cos it just looked " the business" , I suppose we'll get the p--s taken out of us , but hey , if it helps us go faster , what the hell . I'll always take a full 2lb bottle and the appropriate bracketry to the Sprint meetings where we usually get plenty runs in so I can fit the lighter bottle for the last couple of brain out kamikazi runs of the day. :blob5:

Hello all , well we had a cracking day at the Straightliners meeting at Elvington on Sunday . I was using this meeting as a shakedown for the forthecoming UKLSRA mile meeting in August . It was the first time I'd used the bike with the 5lb bottle fitted and the results were encouraging .With the 2lb bottle heater fitted it took a while for the bottle to reach optimum pressure but we still managed to get down in to the to 9.4s with 1.6 60ft times . We made 9 quarter mile passes without any discernable reduction in performance (where as with the 2 pounder fitted we'd get 2 good runs , 2 so so runs and forget it after that ) so it all bodes well for the forthcoming standing mile meetings . BRING IT ON .
