Although i've had my suspicions since i got the kit in Feb i now know this for sure.

In July i had my bottled refilled in order for North weald, however when the day came because of some car issues and the fact it was so busy i used it on about 2 or 3 runs tops ( 40 seconds worth ).

Got home and took the bottle out the car and packed it away in the garage.

Last night i wanted to go for a blast so went hunting for the bottle, and suprise when i pick it up it feels strangely light, sure enough put it in the car and go for a little test run and no extra power at all :x

And before anyone says yes the valve was tightly closed, no hissing can be heard from the bottle.

Is there a common place for them to leak from? And how can i rectify this before i piss another £70 worth of nitrous into the atmosphere.

Depending on where you've had the bottle since you had it filled it may be that the pressure exceeded the SPRV setting and it's released the nitrous to maintain the safe pressure.

To check for a leak have someone fill the bottle with nitrous gas (rather than liquid) as this will give you the pressure to test for leaks without the expense and its safer as well.

Bottle was kept in the garage, gets rather cold at nights and certainly not that warm in the day.

Bottle was running 300psi last night with the bottle heater on

I've known of rupture discs blowing when bottles have been left in garages and they blow at pressures in the region of 2,000 psi.

Obviously the low temps aren't going to be a problem but we've had a few very hot days this summer, so unless you have a very well insulated garage I wouldn't rule that out.

You won't get a high pressure out of a bottle that has only gas remaining even with a heater on.

Hi :)

Well it actually wasn't the "bottle" that leaked lol...

It was the valve or a fitting associated with it, so some pictures of those would help a lot ?

All the best Brett :)

I have t piece and bottle pressure gauge fitted but they dint leak as I can pressurize the system to say 600 psi and even after a few days it hasn't dropped. So I can eliminate anything post bottle valve. Must either be the sprv leaking or the seal from the maxflow valve to the bottle itself?????
