The car failed its MOT last week. The steel brake lines were crumbling with age.

Got the new lines in and got the new line lock in (Ta Pel)

Bleeding the system - couldnt get a pedal. Sorted out the pressure bleed, got a load of air out but still not got a pedal :beatstick:

Took of the master cylinder - think I need a new one :loser:

Ah well - heres hoping I get one friday for pod Saturday!

found that on the system - finding where the airlock is is nigh on impossible - thanks to Rich, Pel and Stu we got some brakes only to have the ignition fail in smoke

And to top it all I need to change the way I am injecting my nitrous as it seems to be causing an issue :beatstick:

nah brakes was just the start - the REV counter turned out to be the cause of it not starting..........................................

Bit of an EPIC weekend - without the Mild bunch I would have been ROYALLY SCREWED!!!!! :(

 Big thanks to all those who helped sort me out  There are nearly too many names to list
Rich, Stu, Pel, J, Dave oh and Steve U - there were other helping too!

But it feels really weird looking in the rear view mirror to see Stu and Perry's arses sticking out from under the bonnet while I sit and chill in the drivers seat - must be what its like to have a really good pit crew in F1 - only that Skoda aint no F1 and there is NO pit crew as good as these guys

Ha Ha!!
I spent lots of time helping other racers while waiting for my axle parts to turn up. I even got that Blue MGB a 14.8 PB. His previous was 15.4 and I tohught he could do better.
I took me 4 attempts to get the timing right. I found that his timing TDC mark was not accurate. I made my own TDC mark. My friend still does not understand how I Found TDC as I didnt explain. I just got my test plug and did it. Then I set him on stock timing and he ran a new PB of 15.03 which pleased him no end!
Then I made one more adjustment of +2 degree's as I felt his dissy drive was really slack and worn. I recently learnt from a friend just how important it is to have the dissy conductor right in the middle of the cap segment when you need the full spark power. I have no way of actually testing this so I took a guess and made the change so he could go and try. I was talking when he came back and grabbed my shoulders to turn me around. Then he gave me a big hug and shouted 14.8 !!!!!!
Its nice when you can help folk eh :D

Stevies Tacho problem was a bitch. But we found it (the hard way) eh Steve ??
Luckily there was enough wire and crimping tools around to rewire the system and get him running.

Next test day for me is 31st July
